PGK Ron Verellen (2009-2013 District Warden)
Ronald J. Verellen, born October 21, 1942 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, passed away on March 30, 2019 in Clinton Township, Michigan at the age 76. Ron was a lifetime member of St. Isidore Catholic church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7200. Ron was the husband to wife Linda for almost 55 years. Father of three sons and grandfather of many grandchildren. Ron was our Grand Knight from 2006 to 2008.
Ron was also our District Warden from 2009 to 2013. Most recently he was Membership director, Adopt-a-Highway Chairman, Sportsman Raffle Co-Chairman, and Music Man on the Admission Degree Team. As membership director Ron recruited over 100 members into our council. He was one in a million and his impact on our council will never be forgotten.

Brother Knight Mike Koehs
Koehs, Michael David Age 67, passed away peacefully Monday, August 8, 2016, at his home in Macomb Township, Mich., after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his loving wife, Cheryl (Smith) Koehs; children, Michael (Jodi Harper) Koehs of Grand Blanc, Mich., and Julie Koehs (Bill) Tackett of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren Madeline and Catherine (CJ) Tackett, and Nick, Jackson, Matthew, and Chloe Harper. Also survived by brother, Ed (Brenda) Koehs, and sisters, Marcy (Tom) Romps, Connie (Jerry) Longsworth, and Kim (James) Allison; step-mother, Jean Koehs; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his mother-in-law, Josephine Smith; sisters-in-law, Dr. Jacqueline Smith, Cynthia (Paul) McNamara, and Deborah (Dan) Spellicy and families. Preceded in death by his father, Robert P. Koehs; mother, Eileen Mick Koehs; brothers, Robert Koehs Jr., James Koehs, and his father-in-law, Wilbur J. Smith.

Brother Knight Thomas Gallagher
Thomas John Gallagher of Clinton Township died at St. John Hospital in Detroit on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the age of 77 years.
Tom was born on November 18, 1938 in Detroit. He was one of four children born to Tilden M. and Pearl M. (nee Chabot) Gallagher. On September 10, 1960, Tom married Mary Lou Najewski in Detroit. Just over a year later, Tom joined the United States Navy and received a Good Conduct Medal. Tom received an Associate’s Degree and with the tech training he received in the military became an X-Ray tech and eventually retired as the Director of Radiology from Detroit Receiving Hospital. He was also an instructor at Wayne State University for the X-Ray program. Tom enjoyed golfing, boating on Lake Ogemaw, visiting the family cottage in West Branch, hunting, and traveling. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Macomb Township. Tom loved spending time with his family and his dog, Bella. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.
Tom is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Louann) Gallagher, Cheryl (Rick) Schaerer and Christopher Gallagher; grandchildren, Brenna Schaerer and Maira Schaerer; siblings, Tilden (Olga) Gallagher and Joanne (John) Blahnik; furry companion, Bella; and many extended family and dear friends. Tom is predeceased by his wife, Mary Lou on December 12, 1990; brother, Michael Gallagher and parents, Tilden M. and Pearl M. Gallagher.

Walter “Don” Wasilewski of Shelby Township died surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 01, 2015.
Don was born in Detroit. He was one of two sons born to Walter and Helen (nee Jahimiak) Wasilewski. Don graduated from Hamtramck High School and then went on to earn his Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University. He married Joan Boike and they spent many wonderful years together. Don was a hard working man and after working many years in the manufacturing industry as a HR manager and Labor Relations Director he was able to retire. Retirement didn’t stop him from working and soon he found himself selling Detroit sport pictures at craft fares all over Macomb and Oakland counties. Don also busied himself with genealogy. He donated his time to the Family History Center in Roseville, the Polish Genealogy Society of Michigan and the Mt. Clemens Genealogy Group. Don was the 1st Administrator for St. Blasé Catholic Church and also served as an usher for St. John Vianney Catholic Church and St. Blasé Catholic Church. He was a 4th Degree Knight for St. Therese of Lisieux and St. Isidore Catholic Churches. Don was the past President for the Royal Forest Phase One Homeowner association. He had an impeccable drive and he never left anything unfinished. Don loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren. Don also enjoyed traveling to Europe and camping throughout Canada and the U.S. He three times visited Poland and Germany spending time with new found family and areas where his ancestors originated. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Brother Knight (2015-16 Chancellor) Chuck O'Connor
Charles "Chuck" P. O'Connor of Clinton Township (formerly of Detroit), age 77, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. He was the loving husband to Eleanor, father to Karen Mullins (Kenny Hare), Chuck (Jackie), Robert (Pam) and Kelli Bischoff (Scott), grandfather of Allison, Brendan, Kaylyn, Ella, Griffin and Adeline and brother of Betty (Pete) Toarmina, Jim (Joyce), Frank (Bernie) and Joe (Judy). Chuck is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Cynthia, siblings, Bill, Rosie Eichhorn ( the late Joe) and Mary O'Grady (the late Harold) and 4 nieces and nephews.
Chuck enjoyed bowling, baseball , euchre and football. He liked to drink Merlot with his daughters. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family especially his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Eugene Michael Hummer passed away on January 28, 2015 at the age of 76. He was the beloved husband of Carol Hummer nee Sienkiewicz of Wentzville, Missouri; He is survived by his three sons: Joseph (Kim), John & Robert (Dawn) Hummer; three daughters: Caroline (David) Rudnick, Sharon Hummer & Susan (Gary) Reese; sixteen grandchildren: Lauren (Sandy), Daniel, Alexandria, Holly, Jessica, Bradley, Samuel, Chelsea, Madison, Morgan, Megan, Carly, Olivia, Emily, Kacy and Sydney. He was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene Leon Hummer & Theodosia Hummer nee Bruder. Gene was married to Carol Hummer for 54 wonderful years. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed baseball, especially the Detroit Tigers, and he was a former bat boy for the team. Gene also enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, golfing and bowling. Gene was a fourth degree knight for the Knights of Columbus. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

John Ivan Bacic of Macomb Township died peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on late Saturday evening, September 27, 2014 at the age of 73 years.
John was born on June 1, 1941 in Lisicic, Croatia. He was the youngest of seven children born to Bozo and Grgica (nee Kardum) Bacic. On August 8, 1964, John married Helen Gasparovic at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Detroit. John was a hard working man and put 30 years of his life working for General Motors as an inspector before retiring in 2004. He was a member of St. Lucy Croatian Catholic Church in Troy; the Knights of Columbus; CCU/CFU and UAW Local 160. John enjoyed bowling but his passion was spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his family and was a true friend. John was a dedicated husband and family man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Brother Knight William Frontiera
CWilliam "Bill" James was born October 12, 1924 to Jasper and Mary (Adragna) Frontiera, in Saginaw, Michigan. His parents had immigrated from Sicily to Saginaw where his father worked for General Motors. Bill was one of nine children.
Bill grew up in Saginaw and when World War II broke out, he joined the Navy. Bill was deployed to the Pacific where he saw action in the Philippines campaign. Bill would go on to enlist in the Navy three times and thus had the distinction of serving in three wars: World War II, Korea and Vietnam. In fact, being in the Navy brought him another bonus; he met his future wife when he recruited her for the women's Naval reserves. The two were married July 1954. They raised their children all over the country, finally coming back to Michigan when he retired from the Navy. Not one to sit still, Bill worked and eventually retired from Chrysler.
Bill was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign War, the Knights of Columbus, Council 7200 and the Fleet Reserve Association. In retirement Bill enjoyed cooking. Food is love, he would tell everyone. He was also known for his jokes.

Richard A. Schoenherr, age 75, a lifelong Macomb County resident, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township after a short illness. Dick was born March 29, 1938 in Warren, MI., the son of James & Mildred (Distelrath) Schoenherr. He married the former Sandra (White/Sadaj) in 1960 at St Clement Catholic Church in Romeo and she preceded him in death on May 31, 1996. After graduating from Romeo High School in 1956, where he played both football & baseball, Dick worked as a broach grinder for many years, starting with the Detroit Broach Company and after they shut down, worked for other companies in Macomb County as a broach grinder. But his love of life was farming, which he did his whole life, raising vegetables and field crops. His hobbies include golfing, hunting, being a past president and board member of the B & BS Gun Club in Ray Township, and a board member of the Davis Cemetery, also in Ray. Dick was also a member of St Isidore's Catholic Church and a member of its Knights of Columbus, Council # 7200. Richard is survived by his children: Jeff (Margaret) Schoenherr of Ray, Robert Schoenherr of Wales Twp., Heather (William) Paquette of Clinton Township, Todd (Jennifer) of Imlay City, and Scott of Bruce Township. Grandchildren include Bradley, Tonia, Anthony, Nicole, Natalie, & Samuel with a great grandson Wyatt. Siblings include Judy Schoenherr of Ray, Jim (Jo Ellen) Schoenherr of Washington Twp., Gail Schoenherr of Ray, Tim (Terri) Schoenherr of Allenton, & Jan Schoenherr of Capac. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers William & Phil. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, 10 AM at St Isidore's Catholic Church in Macomb Twp with Fr. Ronald Victor officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 & Wednesday from 1-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan with a rosary at 7:30 PM. Burial will follow at the Davis Cemetery.

PGK (Charter member of 7200) Mel Ziskie
Melvin Leo Ziskie of Richmond died at his home on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the age of 82 years.
Melvin was born on January 21, 1931 in Detroit, a son of Leo and Gertrude (nee Moy) Ziskie. On November 3, 1951, Mel married Leona M. Wolschleger. They were married for 41 years when Leona passed away on January 15, 1993. Mel retired on April 1, 1994 from Masco Technology were he worked as a lathe hand. He met his second wife Pat and they were married on January 9, 1998 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Macomb Township. Mel was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, the Young at Heart, Usher Club, Eucharistic Minister Vocational Director for the church and Knights of Columbus and a 3rd Degree Knight in the K of C. He was a 4th Degree Knight in the Lexington K of C; an usher at the Performing Arts of Macomb and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Mel enjoyed yard work, playing cards and traveling.
Mel is survived by his wife of 15 years, Pat; children, Michael (Mary Jane) Ziskie of Sterling Heights, Mary Lynn (James) Meessemen of Oxford, William (Karen) Ziskie of Sterling Heights, James (Lisa) Ziskie of Macomb Township, David (Wendy) Ziskie of Warren, Karen (Paul) Harris of Macomb Township and Rebecca (Chad) Nehra of Macomb Township; twenty-two grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and brother, Leonard Ziskie of Sterling Heights. Mel was predeceased by his firstt wife, Leona; three grandchildren; three brothers; one sister and parents.

Brother Knight Gerald Reidel
Gerald F. Reidel, age 87 passed away February 19, 2013 in Clinton Township, MI. He was born August 7, 1925 in Detroit, MI. He was a WWII Veteran and a member of the St. Isidore Council, Knights of Columbus #7200. Family members said he loved gardening and volunteering at church and the Clinton Township Senior Center. He is survived by his wife Carolyn; children Lynn (Robert) Ess, Anne (Jerome) Dunseith, and Lori (Timothy) McDerby; 10 grandchildren, one great grand child and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday from 2 -9:00PM with a K of C rosary service at 7:00PM, and visitation Saturday 9:30am until time of mass 10:00am at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile Road and Romeo Plank. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Isidore K of C would be appreciated.
PGK Edward Christoff
Edward Christoff of Vanderbilt formerly of Ray Township passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Ed was born on November 8, 1915 in Detroit Michigan to Anthony and Rose Christoff. On February 18, 1938 he married Emily Zajac who preceded him in death on March 7, 2008. Ed was a lifelong farmer and was a member of Michigan Milk Producers Association. He was very involved in his community as he was a member of the Production Credit Association, Macomb County Soil Conservation District and a devout member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Macomb Township. Ed was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, council 7200. After moving to Gaylord in 2004, Ed became a very active member at Holy Redeemer Church in Vanderbilt, Mi. Along with his loving wife, Ed was preceded in death by his parents; Anthony and Rose Christoff, and his brother Art. He is survived by his loving son, Gerald (Karen) of Gaylord; his granddaughters, Lynn (Larry) Price and Lashe Christoff of Pennsylvania and great grandson, Dane Free of Pennsylvania. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM from Holy Redeemer Church, Father David Dupuis, officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. VISITATION will take place at the Nelson Funeral Home on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 4- 8:00 PM and will continue at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM. A rosary will be offered, at the funeral home Thursday evening at 6:30 PM.
